Liu Yandong Meets with Deputy Prime Minister Zsolt Semjén of Hungary

On June 19, 2017 local time, Vice Premier Liu Yandong had friendly and in-depth exchanges with Deputy Prime Minister Zsolt Semjén of Hungary in Hungarian Parliament Building.

Liu Yandong expressed that since the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Hungary 70 years ago, the two countries have always upheld mutual respect and equal treatment, and constantly deepened political mutual trust. President Xi Jinping and Prime Minister Viktor Orban upgraded bilateral relations to a comprehensive strategic partnership this May, which marks that China-Hungary relations have entered into a new stage. China's "Belt and Road" initiative and Hungary's "Opening to the East" strategy highly match each other. At present, China and Hungary have been steadily carrying forward cooperation in major projects as well as exchanges and cooperation in medical care, culture, education and other fields. It is believed that through the joint efforts of both sides, China-Hungary comprehensive strategic partnership will be endowed with more abundant connotations.

Zsolt Semjén said that China is an important engine for world economy, which is of great significance to Hungary's economic development and regional prosperity. China's success is an excellent example for all countries in the world. Hungary and China enjoy a fine foundation for exchanges and cooperation at all levels and in various fields with prominent achievements. The Hungarian side welcomes more Chinese enterprises to invest and cooperate in the country, and hopes to enhance experience exchange in state governance and administration with China. Hungary stands ready to make active efforts to promote cooperation between Central and Eastern European countries and China as well as Europe-China relations.
