Wang Yi pointed out that various results achieved from the 1st LMC Leaders' Meeting have been rapidly implemented since this year. The Foreign Ministers' Meeting this time will review and comb through the cooperation progress and plan the development of the mechanism in the next stage in a bid to push the LMC to a new period of comprehensive implementation. China is willing to work with all countries including Laos to forge the LMC into a new type of sub-regional cooperation mechanism with regional features and conforming to regional demands.

Saleumxay Kommasith said that the LMC is a tangible cooperation mechanism rather than a talk shop.
