2016/11/05

On the afternoon of November 4, 2016 local time, Premier Li Keqiang met at the hotel where he stayed in Riga with Prime Minister Edi Rama of Albania.

Li Keqiang said that China and Albania enjoy profound traditional friendship and bilateral relations maintain a solid political foundation. At present, bilateral cooperation in major projects is undergoing positive progress. China encourages Chinese enterprises to invest and establish business in Albania based on market-oriented principles and conduct cooperation in such areas as water conservancy, energy and infrastructure construction. It is believed that bilateral cooperation will achieve positive progress. It is hoped that the two countries could continuously strengthen cooperation under the “16+1 cooperation” framework to better achieve mutual benefit and win-win results.

Edi Rama noted that in recent years, Albania and China have carried out smooth cooperation in infrastructure, oil, gas, water resource, tourism and other fields, which has opened up new areas for future cooperation between the two countries. The Albanian side is glad to see positive outcomes from the “16+1 cooperation”, and is willing to continue to make positive contributions to this end.
