Li Keqiang: China's Economy Can Overcome Various Difficulties, Maintain Steady Growth and Accelerate Restructuring

On the afternoon of November 5, 2016 local time, Premier Li Keqiang attended the 6th Economic and Trade Forum of China and the Central and Eastern European Countries (CEEC) in Riga and introduced China's economic situation while delivering a keynote speech.

Li Keqiang said that the reason why China's economy can overcome various difficulties, maintain steady growth and accelerate restructuring is that we actively adapt to the new normal of economic development, stick to moderate expansion of the aggregate demand, work hard to promote the supply-side structural reform, and continuously enhance the inherent development momentum. First, stick to implementing the proactive fiscal policy and prudent monetary policy, and innovating the approaches of macroeconomic regulation. Second, promote structural adjustment and cultivate new development drivers through pushing forward reform, opening up and innovation. Third, apply market-oriented and rules-based methods to actively forestall and defuse risks. A look into the future shows that China's economic development boasts huge potential, sufficient advantages, and wide space for maneuver, and can totally maintain a medium-high growth and step into a medium-high level.
