Yang Jiechi Meets with Governor of Arkansas Asa Hutchinson of US
2016/10/20

On October 19, 2016, State Councilor Yang Jiechi met at Zhongnanhai with the delegation led by Governor of Arkansas Asa Hutchinson of the US.

Yang Jiechi said that current China-US relations maintain stable development in general. In September this year, President Xi Jinping held a successful meeting with President Barack Obama on the sidelines of the G20 Hangzhou Summit, charting the course for the next-stage development of China-US relations. Both sides should hold the right direction, synergize mutually beneficial cooperation and effectively manage differences so as to ensure the stable development of bilateral relationship and its smooth transition to the next term of US government. I hope that Governor Asa Hutchinson will continue to be actively committed to promoting friendly cooperation with China and make continuous efforts to push China-US relations for constant, sound and stable development.

Asa Hutchinson said that he is willing to actively boost extensive exchanges and cooperation between Arkansas and China in various fields and constantly enhance the understanding and friendship between the two peoples.
