Li Keqiang Sends Message of Condolences to Prime Minister Prayut Chan-ocha over the Passing of King Bhumibol Adulyadej of Thailand

On October 13, 2016, Premier Li Keqiang sent a message of condolences to Prime Minister Prayut Chan-ocha over the passing of King Bhumibol Adulyadej of Thailand. On behalf of the Chinese government and people and in his own name, Li Keqiang extended profound condolences over the passing of Bhumibol Adulyadej and offered sincere sympathy to the Thai government and people.

Li Keqiang said in the message that King Bhumibol Adulyadej whole-heartedly served and worked with diligence for the Thai people and was revered by them. His passing is a great loss for the Thai people. He put great enthusiasm into the cause of China-Thailand friendship and played an irreplaceable role in pioneering the birth and growth of such a relationship.

Li Keqiang expressed that China always cherishes bilateral traditional friendship, and is willing to work with the Thai side to carry forward bilateral friendship, deepen all-round cooperation and push for greater development of China-Thailand relations.
