Xi Jinping Sends Message of Condolences to Philippine President over the Terrorist Bombing in the Country

On September 4, 2016, President Xi Jinping sent a message of condolences to President Rodrigo Duterte of the Philippines over the terrorist bombing occurred in Davao City of the country.

Xi Jinping expressed that I am very shocked to learn about the terrorist bombing happened in Davao City of the Philippines. On behalf of the Chinese government and people and in my own name, I would like to extend deep grief over the victims and sincere sympathies to the bereaved families and those injured. Xi Jinping stressed that the Chinese side opposes all forms of terrorism and strongly condemns this violent terrorist act against innocent civilians. China is willing to, together with the international community including the Philippines, jointly combat terrorism and safeguard international and regional peace and stability.
