Li Keqiang Sends Message of Condolences to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina Wajed of Bangladesh on Hostage Crisis

On July 4, 2016, Premier Li Keqiang sent a message of condolences to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina Wajed of Bangladesh over the killing of hostages in the country.

In the message, Premier Li Keqiang expressed that I am shocked to learn about the hostage-taking incident by terrorists in Dhaka, which has caused heavy casualties. China strongly condemns this terrorist attack. On behalf of the Chinese government, I would like to offer deep condolences to the victims and extend sincere sympathies to the injured and bereaved families.

China firmly opposes terrorism of any form, and will continue to support the unremitting efforts made by the Bangladeshi government and its people to safeguard national security and stability and fight against terrorists.
