Li Keqiang Meets with Indonesian Guest

On April 27, 2016, Premier Li Keqiang met at Ziguangge of Zhongnanhai in the afternoon with Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Luhut Panjaitan of Indonesia, who was in China to attend the 5th meeting of the dialogue mechanism at deputy prime minister level between China and Indonesia.

Li Keqiang spoke positively of the current momentum of sound development of China-Indonesia relations, and expressed that as major developing countries with large population, China and Indonesia share broad common interests and enjoy high complementarity as well as huge potential in cooperation. The sound and stable development of China-Indonesia relations not only exerts important influence on the well-being of both peoples and China-ASEAN relations, but also sends out the signal of peace and stability to the region while actively promoting the growth of the Asian economy. China stands ready to, together with Indonesia, strengthen exchanges at all levels, enhance political mutual trust, promote cooperation in political security, and deepen practical cooperation in key areas, so as to better achieve mutual benefit and win-win results.

Luhut Panjaitan expressed that Indonesia regards China as the most important cooperative partner, and is willing to, together with China, conduct close and friendly exchanges, strengthen communication and coordination, and deepen communication and cooperation in such fields as security and fishery. Indonesia welcomes the Chinese side to expand investment in Indonesia.
