On March 22, 2016, Premier Li Keqiang sent a message of condolences to Prime Minister Charles Michel of Belgium on a series of severe terrorist attacks in Brussels, the capital of Belgium, strongly condemning the brutal act of terrorists and expressing deep condolences to the victims, and sincere sympathies to the bereaved families and the injured.

Li Keqiang said in the message that China firmly supports Belgium's efforts in combating terrorism and safeguarding national security, and is willing to, together with Belgium and the international community, enhance cooperation and jointly cope with threats and challenges of terrorism.
