Li Keqiang Meets with US Guest

On the afternoon of January 6, 2016, Premier Li Keqiang met at Ziguangge of Zhongnanhai with President of Columbia University and law professor Lee C. Bollinger.

Li Keqiang spoke positively of China-US education cooperation and academic exchanges and talent training programs between the Columbia University and China in various fields including the science of law, and expressed that China will enhance contacts and cooperation with universities, colleges, and academic and research institutions of all countries including the Columbia University and pool wisdom and strengths through such strategies as "Internet plus" to train more high-level and internationalized talents for China's sustainable economic and social development and better realize mutual benefits and win-win results.

Lee C. Bollinger said that the Columbia University values its cooperation with China and will actively discuss with China to promote cooperation in such aspects as "Internet plus education" so as to help China train more high-level talents and boost China's economic and social development. In the meantime, the Columbia University will play a role in the enhancement of the West's understanding toward China and the joint efforts dealing with global issues.
