On December 31, 2015, Premier Li Keqiang and Prime Minister Dmitry Medevedev of Russia exchanged New Year congratulatory messages.

Li Keqiang extended New Year's greetings to Dmitry Medvedev, and said that not long ago we co-chaired the 20th Regular Meeting between Chinese Premier and Russian Prime Minister, during which broad consensus was reached on bilateral relations and issues of common concern, and new outcomes were yielded from the exchanges and cooperation between China and Russia in various fields. Upon the arrival of the New Year, the China-Russia comprehensive strategic partnership of coordination is showing an increasingly vigorous growth momentum.

Li Keqiang pointed out that currently China and Russia are at the critical stage of development and revitalization. Against the background of weak global economic recovery, China and Russia have deepened practical cooperation, expanded mutual opening up and enjoyed huge potential and broad prospects in common development. In the New Year, I will keep close communication with you to jointly lead the in-depth development of bilateral relations and all-round cooperation to better benefit both peoples.

The 20th regular meeting held in Beijing was very successful and established a new and important direction for bilateral cooperation. In the New Year, he will continue to maintain beneficial and constructive exchanges with Li Keqiang.
