Zhang Dejiang Meets with President Andrzej Duda of Poland

On November 26, 2015, Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress (NPC) Zhang Dejiang met at the Great Hall of the People with President Andrzej Duda of Poland.

Zhang Dejiang said that yesterday, President Xi Jinping and Mr. President held productive talks, jointly charting the course for the future development of China-Poland relations. The NPC is willing to strengthen friendly cooperation with the upper house and lower house of the Polish Parliament, center around outcomes achieved by both heads of state to jointly promote the docking between the "Belt and Road" initiative and national development strategy of Poland, actively support Poland playing an important role in China-CEEC (Central and Eastern European countries) and China-EU cooperation, deepen experience exchanges in legislation and governance and administration of state affairs, improve the legal framework of bilateral cooperation and optimize social atmosphere for investment and people-to-people and cultural exchanges to let the China-Poland friendship go into people's hearts and win wide support for China-Poland cooperation, thus making contribution to elevating the development level of China-Poland strategic partnership.

Andrzej Duda noted that China has made remarkable achievements in development and Poland hopes to continuously expand bilateral practical cooperation and enhance bilateral communication between both Parliaments.
