Zhang Gaoli Meets with Diplomatic Advisor to the President Jacques Audibert of France

On September 15, 2015, Zhang Gaoli, Member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and Vice Premier, met in Ziguangge, Zhongnanhai with Diplomatic Advisor to the President Jacques Audibert of France who was in China to attend the China-France Strategic Dialogue.

Zhang Gaoli expressed that with the efforts of the two heads of state, China-France comprehensive strategic partnership has stepped into a new period of increased closeness and endurance. Political mutual trust between the two countries has been further consolidated, bilateral practical cooperation has been transformed and upgraded at a faster pace, and new direction in the third-party market cooperation has been charted. Both countries now enjoy more convenient personnel exchanges and increasingly deepened people-to-people and cultural communications, and together positively contribute to the peace and prosperity of the world. The Chinese government attaches great importance to the issue of climate change, making the promotion of a green, low-carbon and circular growth a priority in the construction of ecological civilization. China stands ready to intensify communication and coordination with France to jointly ensure the success of the UN Climate Change Conference in Paris under the principles of common but differentiated responsibilities, equality and respective capacities.

Jacques Audibert expressed that France-China relations enjoy fruitful results in dialogues and cooperation in various fields and the bilateral cooperation in the third-party market starts taking steps. France pays high attention to the positive and significant role that China has played in addressing the issue of climate change and is willing to enhance cooperation with China to make joint efforts for and contributions to the success of the UN Climate Change Conference in Paris.
