Premier Li Keqiang Sends Message of Condolences to Prime Minister Sushil Koirala over the Earthquake in Nepal

On April 25, 2015, Premier Li Keqiang sent a message of condolences over the earthquake striking Nepal. The full text of the message of condolences reads as follows:

I am deeply saddened to learn of the powerful earthquake striking your country, which caused heavy casualties and property losses. On behalf of the Chinese government and people, I would like to extend deep condolences to the victims in the earthquake, and offer sincere solicitude to the bereaved families and the injured.

Nepal is a close and friendly neighbor of China. We sympathize with the sufferings of the Nepalese people and are ready to provide emergent assistance in accordance with the needs of the Nepalese side. I believe that under the leadership of Mr. Prime Minister, the Nepalese government and people will surely overcome the disaster and rebuild the homeland at an early date.
