Li Keqiang Sends Video Message of Congratulations to CeBIT 2015 in Hannover

In the evening of March 15 local time, the 2015 Center for Office Automation, Information Technology and Telecommunication (CeBIT in German) opened in Hannover, Germany. China is the Partner Country of the expo. Premier Li Keqiang sent a video message of congratulations to the expo. Chancellor Angela Merkel of Germany attended the opening ceremony.

Li Keqiang said in the message that at present, a new round of revolution in science, technology and industry is blooming, and many countries have proposed their own development strategies. Based on the national conditions and development stage, the Chinese government proposed the "Made in China 2025" strategy as its roadmap for the development of the manufacturing industry in the next ten years. The potential and space are increasing in China-Germany cooperation in developing and utilizing technological factors such as networking, digitalization and intelligentization.

Li Keqiang pointed out that the theme of this expo "d!conomy" highly meets the new requirements of China-Germany innovative cooperation. China is willing to use the platform as CeBIT's cooperative partner to initiate the "China-Germany Year of Innovation and Cooperation" and dovetail with the strategy of "Industry 4.0" plan proposed by Germany, in order to promote an in-depth development of the China-Germany relations and cooperation, and jointly open up a bright road towards win-win cooperation and common prosperity between the two countries.

In her speech, Merkel thanked Premier Li Keqiang for his good wishes to the expo. She said that China is Germany's largest trading partner in Asia and also an important cooperative partner in the field of high-tech research and development. With their respective strengths in the field of "digital economy", Germany and China can conduct cooperation in this regard to achieve complementary advantages. She wished that all the Chinese enterprises could have a successful exhibiting.

Vice Premier Ma Kai attended and addressed the opening ceremony of the expo.
