Li Keqiang Meets with President Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner of Argentina

In the afternoon of February 5, 2015, Premier Li Keqiang met with President Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner of Argentina at the Great Hall of the People.

Li Keqiang said that both China and Argentina are major developing countries and emerging markets, as well as natural cooperative partners to each other. Yesterday, President Xi Jinping had fruitful talks with you, and reached a number of important consensus. China is willing to make joint efforts with Argentina to trust, respect and support each other in politics, complement and benefit each other for win-win results in economy, enhance collaboration in international affairs, and push the bilateral friendly relations to a higher level.

Li Keqiang pointed out that China and Argentina enjoy strong momentum and huge potential for their practical cooperation in various fields. Considering their respective needs for development, both sides could discuss a package of cooperation which will be featured by an integration of financing and direct trade of bulk commodity. China has rich experience and relatively advanced technologies in such fields as railway, nuclear power, electricity and telecommunication construction, and possesses relevant cost-effective equipment of high quality. China is willing to actively participate in Argentina's transportation infrastructure renewal, nuclear technology development and other programs. Meanwhile China will also strengthen cooperation with Argentina in such fields as agriculture, fishery and energy, and expand people-to-people and cultural exchanges including education, so as to make the development of the bilateral relations better serve the well-being of the two peoples.

Cristina said that during this visit, she fully felt Chinese people’s friendship. This visit has made fruitful achievements and it is a new starting point for Argentina and China to further promote the development of the bilateral relations. Argentina attaches great importance to the comprehensive strategic partnership with China, and is willing to keep high-level communications with China, deepen practical cooperation in such various fields as infrastructure construction, nuclear energy, telecommunications and education, so as to better develop the bilateral relations.
