On the afternoon of January 29, 2015, when meeting the press together with visiting Prime Minister Manuel Valls of France, Premier Li Keqiang talked about Malaysia’s statement declaring Malaysia Airlines MH370 an accident at request. Li Keqiang pointed out that the Chinese government and people are deeply saddened by the misery of all the people on board including 154 Chinese passengers as well as 4 French passengers, and express deep sympathies and condolences to the bereaved families. This is a tough moment for each bereaved family and all of us as well.

Li Keqiang stressed that for almost a year, the Chinese government, relevant countries and the international community have done their best in the search and investigation as well as consoling and serving the bereaved Chinese families. China will continue going all out for the work concerned in the next step. I hope that Malaysia will fulfill its promise to well handle the work including incident investigation, settlement of claim and assistance for the bereaved families, especially continue tracking the whereabouts of the flight and passengers on board by all means.
