Li Keqiang and Chief Executive Officer Abdullah Abdullah of Afghanistan Exchange Congratulatory Messages on 60th Anniversary of Establishment of Bilateral Diplomatic Relationship and Year for China-Afghanistan Friendly Cooperation

On January 20, 2015, Premier Li Keqiang and Chief Executive Officer Abdullah Abdullah of Afghanistan exchanged congratulatory messages, warmly celebrating the 60th anniversary of the establishment of the bilateral diplomatic relationship as well as the Year for China-Afghanistan Friendly Cooperation.

Li Keqiang said in his congratulatory message that China and Afghanistan boast traditional friendly relations. The Chinese government cherishes China-Afghanistan friendship, devotes itself to the development of the China-Afghanistan strategic cooperative partnership, supports the peaceful reconstruction of Afghanistan, and is willing to make joint efforts with Afghanistan to promote economic development, improve people's livelihood and maintain lasting peace and stability in Afghanistan.

Abdullah said in his congratulatory message that the Afghan people value the profound friendship with the Chinese people. Afghanistan is willing to take the Year for China-Afghanistan Friendly Cooperation as an opportunity to further enhance mutual understanding between the two peoples.
