President Ram Baran Yadav of Nepal Meets with Wang Yi

On December 26, 2014, President Ram Baran Yadav of Nepal met with Foreign Minister Wang Yi at the Presidential Palace in Kathmandu.

Ram Baran Yadav expressed that China is Nepal's all-weather partner, and the two countries enjoy close high-level exchanges and fruitful results in cooperation in economy, trade, people-to-people and cultural engagement, security and law-enforcement and other fields. Nepal sticks to the One China policy and will never allow any individual conducting anti-China activities in Nepal's territory.

Ram Baran Yadav said that China has accomplished great achievements in its peaceful development, making great contributions to regional and global economy. Foreign Minister Wang Yi proposed to conduct Nepal-China practical cooperation in nine fields during his visit this time, for which Nepal is highly encouraged and believes that this will greatly promote the economic development of Nepal and provide driving force for the stability of the country.

Wang Yi said that the Chinese government will firmly adhere to the neighborhood diplomatic philosophy of amity, sincerity, mutual benefit and inclusiveness. As a friendly neighbor of Nepal, China will always regard Nepal as one of its most important cooperative partners. As China and Nepal will embrace their 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relationship soon, both sides should summarize the experience, inherit and carry forward the fine traditions in the bilateral relations, and promote the comprehensive cooperative partnership featuring long-lasting friendship. Both sides should translate the high-level political mutual trust into practical cooperation results, so as to bring more benefits to the two peoples. China sincerely hopes that Nepal could complete its process in drafting the constitution at an early date. The Chinese government and people will always stand together with Nepal on the path of its pursuit of peace, stability and development.
