Li Keqiang Meets with Chairman Sergey Naryshkin of the State Duma of Russia

In the morning of October 13 local time, Premier Li Keqiang met with Chairman Sergey Naryshkin of the State Duma of Russia in Moscow.

Li Keqiang said that China and Russia are the biggest neighboring countries to each other. The two countries enjoy profound traditional friendship and have always understood and supported each other. Since last year, President Xi Jinping and President Vladimir Putin have held multiple meetings successfully. The China-Russia comprehensive strategic partnership of coordination manifests itself not only in the high-level mutual political trust of the two sides, but also in the increasingly expanded and deepened economic and trade cooperation, people-to-people and cultural exchanges, and other aspects. We are willing to conduct all-round and in-depth exchanges and cooperation with Russia so as to promote the China-Russia comprehensive strategic partnership of coordination for greater development.

Li Keqiang stressed that China supports the two parliaments expanding exchanges and cooperation, publicizing the idea of China-Russia friendship, and actively promoting the bilateral practical cooperation, so as to lay a solid foundation of public opinions for the long-term development of both countries.

Naryshkin said that Russia and China have firmly supported each other on major issues such as national independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity, and have closely coordinated with each other in international affairs, powerfully safeguarding the world peace, stability and development. The relationship with China is the top priority in Russia's foreign policy. Russia is willing to further deepen the Russia-China comprehensive strategic partnership of coordination. The Russian State Duma is ready to enhance exchanges and cooperation with the Chinese National People's Congress so as to play an active role in promoting the development of the bilateral relations.
