Li Keqiang and Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev of Russia Meet the Press Together

In the afternoon of October 13 local time, Premier Li Keqiang and Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev of Russia jointly met the press after successfully concluding the 19th regular meeting between Chinese and Russian Prime Ministers in Moscow.

Li Keqiang briefed on the outcome of the regular meeting between Chinese and Russian Prime Ministers. He said that China-Russia comprehensive strategic partnership of coordination has entered a new development stage. As the countries with the largest population and the largest area in the world respectively and each other's biggest neighbor, China and Russia enjoy natural strategic, stable and long-lasting characters in bilateral cooperation which accommodates interests' demands of both sides and features win-win results, not only benefiting the two peoples, but also conducing to peace and prosperity in the world.

Li Keqiang pointed out that bilateral practical cooperation enjoys a brilliant future and both sides should further open up market to each other, enhance trade level, expand two-way investment and focus on pushing cooperation in major strategic projects, so as to innovate and upgrade China-Russia practical cooperation. The two countries boast broad prospect in people-to-people and cultural cooperation, and should enhance mutual understanding and friendship between the two peoples and invigorate China-Russia all-round friendly cooperation by jointly running schools, jointly developing cultural and educational industries, well organizing the China-Russia Youth Friendly Exchanges Year and the activities celebrating the 70 anniversary of the victory of the World War II next year and so on.

Dmitry Medvedev expressed that Russia and China are true strategic partners of coordination. Both countries further enhancing cooperation not only benefits the two peoples but also conduces to the world. The regular meeting between Chinese and Russian Prime Ministers yielded fruitful results and will strongly boost the development of the two countries. Russia is willing to, together with China, expand economic and trade cooperation, realize the goal of 100 billion USD of bilateral trade volume by 2015, deepen high-tech, investment, agricultural and financial cooperation, advance major-project cooperation and intensify people-to-people and cultural cooperation and youth exchanges so as to pass down Russia-China friendship from generation to generation.

The two Prime Ministers also answered questions from the journalists.
