Li Keqiang Meets with 31 Newly-appointed Envoys to China, Stressing that China will Comprehensively Deepen Reforms and Further Expand Opening-up and Is Willing to Strengthen Mutually Beneficial Cooperation with All Countries to Achieve Common Development

In the afternoon of September 30, 2014, on the eve of the 65th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China, Premier Li Keqiang held a group meeting with 31 newly-appointed envoys to China at the Great Hall of the People.

Li Keqiang welcomed the envoys to work in China, and shook hands and held warm talks with them. He asked about their work and life situation in China and asked them to convey his sincere greetings and best wishes to the leaders of their respective countries.

Li Keqiang said that this year marks the 65th anniversary of the founding of People's Republic of China, and Chinese people have a tradition to celebrate the National Day in a more grand way when the anniversary is in every five or ten years. Currently, China is comprehensively deepening reforms and further expanding opening-up. China's development has brought development opportunities and huge markets for the world. We will unswervingly take the path of peaceful development, always be an active participant, constructor and contributor in the international system and be committed to maintaining the overall situation of good-neighborly friendship as well as world peace and stability. China is willing to strengthen mutually beneficial cooperation with other countries to achieve common development. I hope that the foreign envoys to China will continue to play an active role in enhancing understanding and friendship and promoting friendly cooperative relations between China and other countries.

The envoys thanked Li Keqiang for meeting with them and conveyed their leaders' congratulations on China's National Day and greetings to Chinese people and leaders. They spoke positively of China's role in safeguarding world peace and stability, promoting world economic growth, cooperating with other countries in addressing global challenges and other aspects. They also emphasized that all countries attach great importance to developing relations with China and are willing to further deepen cooperation with China. The envoys expressed their willingness to make new contributions to promoting the development of relations between their countries and China and enhancing mutual understanding and friendship between the peoples.

After the meeting, all the envoys to China attended at the invitation of Li Keqiang the reception marking the 65th anniversary of National Day of the People's Republic of China.
