Chinese military musical experts accomplished training course in Barbados

On June 19th, Chinese military musical experts accomplished their training course for the combined bands of the Barbados Defence Force (BDF) and the Barbados Codet Corp. and jointly conducted performance of both Chinese and Barbadian music with instruments donated by China in the base of BDF.

Ms. Li Qian, charge d'affaires of the Embassy of People's Republic of China in Barbados, on behalf of the Chinese government, Chinese Ambassador Liu Huanxing, as well as the Embassy of China in Barbados, delivered a speech to congratulate on the successful joint performance, saying she had never heard Chinese compositions were performed so beautifully in a foreign land such as Barbados. The band's harmonious performance and good cooperation fully demonstrated the long-existed, traditionally and friendly cooperation between the two countries, two armies and two people. She continued to say that tonight would be another new milestone in the further development of bilateral relationships. Ms. Li also expressed heartfelt thanks to the help and support from Barbadian government, BDF, Barbados Military and Codet Band to Chinese military musical experts during the last 4 months.

The Chinese military musical experts arrived in Barbados on February 20th. During the 4-month training course, they established profound friendship with officers and junior ranks of BDF and members of the Band.
