Embassy Held Regular Consultation with Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade of Barbados

On April 3, the Embassy held the 1st regular consultation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade of Barbados in the Embassy.

Ambassador Xu Hong noted in his opening remarks that it marked a new level of cooperation and coordination between the Embassy and the Ministry by setting up the regular consultation. He hoped that bilateral cooperation in all fields could be significantly improved by this mechanism.

Mr. David Bulbulia, deputy Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade of Barbados assured the Ambassador the great importance the government of Barbados attached to the Barbados-China relations and thanked the Embassy’s support to the Ministry. He said the Ministry was willing to cooperate with the Embassy through the regular consultation to make progress in bilateral collaboration in all fields.

The two sides examined matters concerning economic and trade, military, educational, agricultural, and legal and reached some consensus.

Mrs. Wang Lei, political counselor, Mr. Wu Gangchen, commercial counselor, and foreign service officers of the Ministry attended the consultation.
