The Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to Barbados met with the Minister of Education, Technological and Vocational Training of Barbados

On July 18th, the Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Barbados, H.E. YAN Xiusheng met with the Minister of Education, Technological and Vocational Training of Barbados, the Hon. Santia Bradshaw. Ms. QU Ying, the Commercial Counsellor of the Chinese Embassy, Mr. Rommel Springer, Parliamentary Secretary in the Ministry of Education, Technological and Vocational Training and Mrs. Janet Phillips, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Education, Technological and Vocational Training attended this meeting.

Ambassador YAN congratulated Minister Bradshaw on her assuming the new office and exchanged views on how to develop the China-Barbados relations in the new era and to deepen the pragmatic cooperation in the education sector between China and Barbados.

Minister Bradshaw thanked the Chinese government for the long-standing support that has been provided to the development of the education sector of Barbados and highlighted that the Barbados Labour Party government attaches great importance to the development of the Barbados-China relations and stands ready to work with the Chinese Embassy in Barbados to carry out more communication and cooperation so as to push for more progress in the educational cooperation between Barbados and China.
